The M&M's are back!

Just when you thought you had lost us forever - we are back. We had an awesome 3 1/2 weeks in the USA doing San Fran, Las Vegas, San Diego and LA with the kiddies. Theme parks galore, the zoo, legoland, universal studions, disneyland, seaworld and throw in Alcatraz, the grand canyon and Las Vegas for Hubby and I and the trip was very busy! Only thing I would have changed to what we did was have a couple more days in Las Vegas - it was very cool :) Here is a couple of pics before I get on to my scrapbooking tutorial for this week!
First job I was rostered to do when I got back was the Tuesday Tip over at Kaisercraft - so here it is: . . . . Hi there and welcome to the Tuesday Tip. It is Vicki here to share with you a little tutorial just in time for Mother’s Day. Follow me as I show you how to make a cute little mini canvas for your Mum using some simple roses. Take double sided paper and cut a circle using scalloped scissors. The larger the circle you will cut- the larger the flower you will end up with. For this project my circle was approximately 9cm across. Use the scallop scissors to then make a spiral pattern as shown.
Once the spiral is cut out, scrunch it up as shown.
Starting with the outside edge, roll the paper with the darker colour on the inside, until all the paper has been used. Loosen the roll until your desired rose shape has been found. Use a glue dot on a small piece of paper to stick the base of the rose to.
Make 4 roses and set aside. Use a mini canvas and cover the front and back with selected paper. Use the back side of the canvas to fit your 4 roses inside the frame and decorate as desired. To finish use some Derivan Kindy Glitz to highlight the edges of your roses.
_____ Materials List: Mini Canvas, Kaisercraft – Magnolia Grove – Paper Pad, Kaisercraft – Magnolia Grove – Romantic, Kaisercraft – Magnolia Grove – Sticker Sheet, Kaisercraft – Mini Paper Blooms – Aubergine, Kaisercraft – Pearl Strips – Champagne, Misc Metal Accents, Derivan Kindy Glitz. _____ Check it out on Kaisercrafts blog here: http://www.kaisercraft.com.au/blog/tuesday-tip-mini-canvases-using-roses/ :) Vicki
